Most Quadricity ant farms are equipped with chambers cut from a 3mm plate + 1 plate of 5mm = 8mm.

You have the option of unbolting your Quadricity, placing this additional transparent plate between the white base and the chambers, thus increasing the chamber height from 8 to 11 mm. Of course, this operation must be carried out before installing your ants.

A second riser allows a height of 14mm to be reached.

Made of laser-cut transparent Plexiglas. It is placed under the green or white satin plate and provides aesthetically pleasing glossy edges.

For the largest species in France, such as Camponotus ligniperdus, and especially when their colonies reach a large population, a significant chamber height is often recommended. Messor barbarus will also appreciate this new space, although it can live in 8mm of material.

Using this riser improves their comfort and increases the number of ants the nest can house. However, observations are somewhat less direct because the ants more often nest on the walls.

The chambers are the result of a lengthy cutting process using robotic machines, using food-grade, durable Plexiglas. Numerous and organically styled, they closely resemble natural ant nests, facilitating ant movement and optimizing space by eliminating the need for humidifying foam.
