Description
A fine substrate made from sand and clay. Formulated, tested, and approved as a substrate for ants. It allows worker ants to excavate the nest and observe its creation and construction.
We recommend this substrate because it doesn't collapse if it's compacted sufficiently initially and it's not dusty. Having used it successfully, we've found it comparable to Spanish and other substrates.
Ideal in ant farms designed for this purpose with a 1-2cm layer of substrate for suitable observations.
