Description

Extra-fine Sphagnum peat, an ideal substrate for European and tropical ants (leaf cutters).

Allows you to create healthy and durable terrariums with regulated acidity and appropriate humidity.

Fourmiculture extra-fine peat is an extremely light, fine and airy material. It makes it possible to complete the living environment of the ants by offering them a construction material suitable for lining the rooms and tubes. Sphagnum peat is also ideal for filling terrariums and allowing ants to completely build their nest according to their needs. It absorbs moisture slowly, maintains good ventilation and remains healthy for several years.

Created and used by Fourmiculture on a professional basis to improve the health and management of our livestock.

The advantages of our recipe:

  • Specially optimized for ants with mechanical treatment to obtain maximum fineness.

Usage tips :

  1. Mix the peat in a container with water to moisten it evenly and gradually,
  2. The peat should not be soggy. Remove excess water by squeezing the peat.
  3. Garnish the anthill or make damp peat available to the ants who will build their nest with it.
  4. Replace 1 third of the peat per year if possible, to maintain a natural and healthy cycle.
  5. Always keep the peat slightly moist for the survival of ants.
