Fluon Antcube: Anti-escape coating 10ml

10ml anti-escape coating for artificial ant farms. Works primarily on glass.

Description : Fluon Anti-Escape Ant Repellent is the ideal ant repellent, used even by Hölldobler and Wilson to prevent ant escapes. It is applied undiluted, so the ants slide off the remaining film. The applied film is durable and does not need to be renewed, unlike other alternatives.

Advantages :
– No reapplication is necessary if it is not damaged or exposed to moisture, it does not wear down like talc, and it is not sticky like oil.
– Ideal for glass surfaces.

Disadvantages:
– Not suitable for enclosed, humid hunting areas because the product is water-soluble.
– Less effective on plastic surfaces.
– Easier to apply before the ants arrive, as it may be necessary to rotate the nest so the walls lie flat while drying.

Application : Shake well before use. Fluon is used as supplied or diluted up to 1:10 with water. Fluon can be applied with a brush, or by pouring a small amount and spreading it. The width of the strip should be approximately 3 times the length of the ants. Drying time is approximately 45 minutes per side, but may vary depending on the thickness. Apply in a single coat per surface; it's better to apply a slightly thicker coat and not go over it again. Masking tape can be applied for a clean finish. See photo below.

Important note: Do not breathe vapors while drying. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water and seek medical advice. Do not smoke nearby. Apply only in well-ventilated areas. Keep out of reach of children! At freezing temperatures, the product changes consistency irreversibly. Therefore, we will only ship at temperatures above 0°C!
