Lot 10 Micro-Porous PVA Foam for Test Tubes from 15 to 16mm

Description

This 18mm flexible and compressible micro-protrusion foam has been tested and validated by Fourmiculture for test tubes from 15 to 16mm in diameter. Diameter chosen to insert easily and hold effectively.

Very practical to use for aging in tubes, it provides a healthier environment, time savings in the preparation of tubes, and a more aesthetic finish.

Usable to retain the water reserve, or to close the end of the tube.

Manual :

1/ Put 9ml of water in a 16x160mm test tube.
2/ Compress the foam with your fingers to insert it at the top of the tube.
Moisten the foam if it has become hard. 3/ Bring it down until it touches the water using a rod.
Do not push more, the surface on the ant side should preferably remain dry.
Moisture circulates through the micro-porous foam and the air in the tube is moist. Ants can pick up moisture from the air. 4/ Add a 2nd micro-porous foam at the end of the tube to close it while letting the air pass. Let it protrude slightly to catch it with your fingernails if necessary. Or use cotton.

Colour: WHITE (depending on stock).

Store in a bag to maintain humidity and keep the foam flexible. Rewet if necessary so that it instantly regains its suppleness.
