Description

This refillable, reusable, and French-made tube is crafted from thick, high-quality glass. Numerous improvements allow for the long-term cultivation of a small colony with a higher success rate than traditional tubes or those from China, which often suffer from poor humidity control and inconsistent composition.

The progressive slab: present along the entire length of the tube, it diffuses moisture gradually. This allows ants to live on a natural stone substrate and choose their preferred humidity level depending on their location. It gives excellent results with most species!

The recurring problems with the tubes we tested are: static electricity, a water refill system but too short a battery life (sand reserve) and dried-out dead ants, foams that are too fragile or cotton that gets moldy, water leaks, tubes that are too small for Messor etc.

The refillable water tube is a high-end, quality system for the success of your foundation:

• Tube sold with a full reservoir, providing several months of autonomy!
• Refillable with water using a syringe with a 0.33mm needle,

• 1. Non-toxic foam, healthier than regular PVA foam for water reservoirs
• White, reinforced (stone) slab, resistant to erosion and improved for greater longevity, superior to resin plaster

Caution: More economical than the reinforced tube because it is less resistant to Messor mites and lacks a metal grid. However, a colony raised from the start in this tube is unlikely to attack it. It does not have compartments.

Instructions for use:

Place the queen or colony in the tube with the water reservoir. Plug the end with cotton to allow air circulation. Tighten securely to prevent ants from attacking it. After approximately one year, if needed, order our special syringe to refill the tube with water and seal the inlet hole with tape, or use our refilling service. Caution: This only works if the tube is dry and using Scotch crystal tape.
