Ordinary glass test tube, 16x150mm, for experiments or ant breeding.

Thicker and stronger than the 16x160mm version.

Indeed, this test tube sold empty then allows, with a third of water retained by a tight cotton ball, the breeding of queens and young colonies.

The advantage of glass test tubes over plastic is clear:

– No generation of static electricity, annoying for ants
– Perfectly transparent, ideal for observations
– Insensitive to scratches
– Good resistance to breakage (plastic tubes are actually brittle)
– Very smooth, allows easy sliding the cotton in the tube to the water reserve
