This expandable Weaver Ant Kit for various species such as weaver ants like Polyrhachis spec.
or Oecophylla spec. also includes the corresponding equipment for the breeding of this ant. It is suitable for up to a colony of about 500 individuals. For larger colonies we recommend a 30x30x60cm formicarium.
Important: please moisten the substrate before use, so that the mixture can combine and grow firmly in the anthill. In addition, a substrate that is too dry and dusty can lead to the obstruction of the airways of the ants and, in the worst case, to the suffocation of the animals.
Shipping Note: We receive glass hunting pads on a pallet from the manufacturer to prevent breakage, then re-pack if necessary to ensure safer transport to your home. Orders for “in stock” equipment are generally dispatched within 48 hours by the carrier of your choice. The largest models are recommended for delivery by Mazet on a pallet. Attention: check the goods before signing, otherwise no refund is possible.
Note on production
The glass is cut according to DIN 1249 with a tolerance of +/- 1mm. For extremely small ant species, additional protection against ant escape is essential.
