Warning: Do not install a colony with a queen in the ice ant farms.

The frost is not nourishing enough to allow the queen to lay eggs, and that is why our special Antworks colonies are composed only of worker bees.

Maximum population in Antworks:

It is possible to use up to 2 colonies per Antworks Gel Ant Farm in order to observe them digging more tunnels and being more active!

Simply install the different colonies in their new gel habitat at the same time. Avoid adding them in several stages.

Lifespan of ants:

The lifespan of ants for Gel Antworks Ant Farms varies and can reach up to a year. It is normal for some worker ants to gradually die of old age before then.

When there are no more ants left in their ice anthill, it becomes possible to re-establish a colony.

Temperature :

If the temperature doesn't exceed 20°C, the ants are unlikely to dig. We advise you to place them in a warm spot, but never in direct sunlight.

If necessary, consider our heating mats to maintain your ant farm at the right temperature and at a lower cost.

Should we feed the ants for Antworks? ?

The gel is nutritious; there's no need to feed them or add water unless the Antworks contains a sand substrate. In that case, please use our powdered food or offer them honey.

Ant delivery:

We deliver the ants to your home via the postal service. We guarantee that transport will be trouble-free: if the colony doesn't arrive alive, we'll send you another one very quickly!

For the comfort of the ants, we ship by Thursday at the latest via Colissimo or by Friday via Chronopost with Saturday delivery. This way, your ants won't spend the weekend at the post office and will be in perfect health upon delivery.
