Warning: you must not install a colony with a queen in the Gel Anthills.

The gel is not nutritious enough to allow the queen to lay eggs and that is why our special Antworks colonies are only made up of workers.

Maximum population in the Antworks:

It is possible to use up to 2 colonies per Anthill Gel Antworks in order to observe them dig more galleries and be more active!

Simply install the different colonies at the same time in their new gel habitat. Do not add them multiple times.

Lifespan of ants:

The lifespan of ants for Gel Antworks Anthills is variable and can reach one year. It is normal for worker bees to gradually die of old age before this.

When there are no more ants left in their gel anthill, it becomes possible to reinstall a colony.

Temperature :

If the temperature does not really exceed 20°C, the ants may not dig. We advise you to place them in a warm place but never in the sun.

If necessary, consider our heating mats to keep your Anthill at the right temperature and at a lower cost.

Should ants be fed for Antworks ?

The gel is nutritious, it is not necessary to feed them or add water, unless the Antworks contains a sand substrate. In this case, please use our powdered food or offer them honey.

Delivery of ants:

We deliver the ants to your home by La Poste. We can guarantee that the transport is no problem: if the colony does not arrive alive, we will send you another one very quickly!

For the comfort of the ants, we ship no later than Thursday by Colissimo or Friday by Chronopost with delivery on Saturday. Thus, your ants will not spend the weekend at the Post Office and will be in perfect health on delivery.
