______________________________________________________________________________________________
Tetramorium semilaeve may be very small in size, but it knows how to impose itself thanks to rapid development and colonies that can become very populous.
Tetramorium semilaeve is therefore a species to discover, also for its diet: it will like biscuit crumbs, small insects, certain sweet liquids and even tender seeds opened with your finger or crushed walnuts and hazelnuts. She can be a little difficult at first but there are still many possibilities regarding her diet. We recommend focusing on insects (fresh mealworms cut in half) to ensure rapid development and without food rejection.
Size of the minor workers: 3mm
Size of the queen: about 7mm
Recommended temperature: 27°C during the day and 22-24°C at night
Wintering: None, otherwise short and not very cool.
Humidity: Average
