Fungus Atta cephalotes, other Atta and Acromyrmex

Description

Symbiotic fungus compatible with Atta and Acromyrmex. This cutting, composed of at least 1 cubic centimeter of live fungus taken from the best parts of our colony, can help you revive a struggling colony. It may contain a few small garden worker ants that will be easily adopted by your colony.

The mushroom should be a light green color. A mushroom that is broken up and brown or dark brown may indicate a weak mushroom.

Tip: Never expose it to dry air; the fungus dies below 90% humidity. Liquid water, on the other hand, kills it. Place it in your breeding system with your queen, then cover it with a small , inverted pot containing a damp cotton ball. This will create a favorable microclimate and maintain humidity.
