The Happy Ant cork ant farm was selected by Fourmiculture for raising species with low humidity requirements, such as Crematogaster and Camponotus. With its cork core, it replicates more natural rearing conditions and allows for better development of these particular species.

The brand : Happy Ant was created in 2015 in the Czech Republic by Martin Kust, a partner of Fourmiculture . We partnered with him to offer his modular, affordable, and high-quality concept, meeting our requirements. The module is manufactured without 3D printing for a very high-quality finish.

Summary: The Cork Module consists of a hexagonal plastic container bolted onto a removable Plexiglas window, into which the cork panel is placed. The chambers formed inside are particularly appealing to wood-nesting species: it's an excellent nesting site for Camponotus ligniperdus, Crematogaster scutellaris, Temnothorax nylanderi, etc. The Cork Module measures 20cm and its hexagonal shape makes it very easy to adjust. It is compatible with the hunting areas of the same brand and connects via a magnetic system, combined with the included clips.

Bonus: A red filter is included for the ants' comfort! With magnetic attachment.

Humidity: A little water can be added through the side holes. No species can live completely without humidity. Feel free to add a few drops of water or connect a water tube. A water dispenser is also a good addition, but it doesn't replace humidification. Be moderate with the amount of water to keep the nest healthy.

The Happy Ant magnetic hunting area is designed for easy maintenance and clear visibility, using the best available materials. The white plastic hexagonal base has a flawless finish (no 3D printing required) and a transparent hexagonal panel fits snugly onto it. The panels are made of thermoformed Plexiglas®, one side at a time, for a unique design and perfect visibility. The entire assembly can be disassembled if needed.

Modular: the nest can evolve infinitely. We recommend adding a hunting area from the same brand using the smart connection system. You can also add other habitable modules to each side of the hexagon.
