Kit for 5 Breeding Tubes

Description

This kit allows you to create your own culture tubes as needed, using the best equipment used by our laboratory.

The rearing tubes allow queens to be raised during the foundation phase, until the first workers are obtained, and then as long as the water supply is sufficient. The water supply can last from 3 to 6 months approximately.

Manual :

– Inject 8ml of water into a tube using the needleless syringe

– Take a soft PVA foam. Moisten it slightly and squeeze it between your fingers if necessary, then wring it out well. Soak it if it is too hard.

– Insert the foam straight into the tube (only) until it touches the water and do not push any further. Use a stick, pen or other accessory.

– Close with very tight cotton or a second PVA foam (for Messor) or with the plastic stopper provided after making 5 to 10 holes with a cold needle (other species).

Once the worker ants have emerged: it is possible to carefully feed the ants in the tube or connect it to a feeding area. The plastic stopper can be pierced, or a section of tubing held in place by a cotton wool stopper can be used.
