Kit for 5 Breeding Tubes

Description

This kit allows you to make your own culture tubes according to your needs using the best equipment used by our laboratory.

The breeding tubes make it possible to raise the queens during the foundation, until the first workers are obtained, then as long as the water reserve is sufficient. The autonomy of the latter ranges from 3 to 6 months approximately.

Manual :

– Inject 8ml of water into a tube using the needleless syringe

– Take a soft PVA foam. Moisten it slightly and press it between your fingers if necessary, wring well. Soak it if it is too hard.

– Insert the foam straight into the tube (only) until it touches the water and does not push any further. Use a wand, pen or other prop.

– Close with very tight cotton or a second PVA foam (for Messor) or with the plastic stopper provided after making 5 to 10 holes with a cold needle (other species).

Once the workers are born: it is possible to feed the ants in the tube with care or to connect it to a feeding area. It is possible to pierce the plastic plug, or to use a segment of pipe held by a absorbent cotton plug.
