Description

The Large Housing Module is the ideal complement to the Small Modules

A veritable ant farm in its own right, this module features 7 large chambers, 2 humidification wicks, and 4 partitioned connection holes. It bolts onto the Small Habitat (or Feeding) Module, which is itself bolted around the Quadricity to expand the ants' living space.

The ants will then be able to move freely from one module to another, without interfering with other colonies that you might be raising at the same time in another part of the Quadricity.

It is possible to place up to 4 Large Modules around the 4 Small Modules.

Each Large Housing Module adds 7 very large rooms to your Small Module and allows you to increase the maximum population by approximately 1500 Lasius workers or 500 Messor workers.

Example of installation on a Quadricity Model 2 supplemented with 1 Small Power Module, 3 Small Housing Modules, 1 Large Power Module and 2 Large Housing Modules:

A fully-fledged artificial anthill.

It can also be used alone to raise a young colony and expand with other Housing modules, in addition to one or more Food modules.

The particularly spacious rooms will be perfectly suited to a colony that has developed well and colonized the Quadricity, then the Small Housing Module.

Its design is no different from our artificial ant Fourmiculture :

– Rooms with mineral flooring for biological balance,

-Design made of durable, removable and cleanable Plexiglas,

– Intelligent linking system with partitions in “Open” and “Closed” positions on each side of the module.

– Patented 3rd generation humidification system, efficient and reliable.

– Replaceable mineral humidifier to restore the cleanliness to like-new condition after successful breeding.

– Chambers designed to suit all species, slightly more spacious than those of the Quadricity to suit large colonies.

– Adjustable chamber height (original: 8mm. 12mm optional).

Its revolutionary and patented humidification system allows you to choose to humidify 0%, 50% or 100% of its surface and with autonomy of several weeks thanks to its water tanks.

A transparent water tank is included with your Module.

Durable and Repairable.

Your Small Living Module is eco-designed to last longer than any other. Its design is state-of-the-art and uses high-quality European materials.

Disassemblable and cleanable:
Almost no parts are glued. The entire module is simply bolted together for easy cleaning with water or replacement of wear parts.

Spare parts:
– The mineral humidifier is replaceable, ensuring clean and healthy chambers. It's ideal to replace it after more than a year of breeding. The glass is also replaceable, restoring its original transparency if scratched. Partitions, blocks, lids – all parts are available online or upon request.

Innovative in materials:
The humidifier is made from plant- and mineral-based materials. It will decompose without leaving polluting residues after disposal.

The other components are not meant to be discarded quickly and have therefore been designed to last as long as possible. The use of Plexiglas, a high-quality material manufactured in Germany from natural gas, provides a virtually indestructible structure. It can, however, be disposed of by incineration with minimal pollution, or it can be recycled.

Made in France:

The Small Housing Module is manufactured in our workshop located in the Alps. It contains no parts or even raw materials of non-European origin.
