Description

The Large Power Supply Module Model 1 is the ideal complement to the Small Modules.

This Module bolts onto a Small Module, which is itself bolted to the Quadricity. It provides an outdoor environment for the foraging ants. It allows you to easily feed them and offers captivating observations.

Designed as a panoramic terrarium, it is made of thermoformed Plexiglas® with crystal-clear transparency, and is removable and washable. Thanks to 3 connecting holes with partitions in "Open" and "Closed" positions, plus 2 standard 9mm holes, it is possible to choose exactly how to connect the module.

The most enjoyable part will surely be watching the ants descend along a transparent "staircase" that we have designed to help them get from the top of the module to the floor of the Feeding Area.

Once they reach the floor of the Large Feeding Module Model 1, the ants can explore a handcrafted environment that is different each time, designed to welcome them. The upper walls can be coated with talcum powder or other anti-escape material, particularly on the green overlapping panels, to prevent the ants from climbing, but we have also included a transparent lid to ensure complete safety. Its laser-cut micro-mesh vents allow for air circulation, giving the ants a feeling similar to being outdoors.

Once loaded with food, the workers will be able to return to the chambers by using the transparent stairwell again until they reach the chambers and share their finds with the rest of the colony.

It is designed specifically to attach around a Small Module (Habitat or Feeding) but can also be used independently of the latter, with any type of Artificial Ant Farm; for example with a "Habitat" module to offer a complete ant farm to your ants.

Just like the Quadricity Ant Farm, this module is eco-designed to last longer than any other. In addition to high-quality materials machined according to best practices, we've designed as many parts as possible to be easily disassembled and cleaned.
