Description

Large "Power Supply" Module.  

This Module bolts to a Small Module, itself bolted to the Quadricity. It provides an outdoor environment for explorer ants. It allows you to feed them easily and offers captivating observations.

Designed as a panoramic terrarium, it is made of thermoformed Plexiglas® with crystal clear transparency, removable and cleanable. Thanks to 3 connection holes with partitions in “Open” and “Closed” positions + 2 standard 9mm holes, it is possible to choose exactly how to connect the module.

The most pleasant thing will surely be observing the ants descending along a transparent “stairwell” that we have provided to help them get from the top of the module to the floor of the Feeding Area.

Once they reach the ground, the ants can explore a handcrafted environment, each one different to welcome them. The upper walls can be coated with talcum powder or another escape-proof material, particularly on the overlapping green panels, to prevent the ants from climbing, but we've also included a transparent lid for complete security. Its laser-cut micro-mesh vents allow for air circulation, giving the ants a feeling of being outdoors.

Once loaded with food, the workers will be able to go back up to the rooms by taking the transparent stairwell again until they reach the rooms and share their finds with the rest of the colony.

 

It is specially designed to attach around a Small Module (House or Food) but can also be used independently of the latter, with any type of Artificial Anthill; for example with a “Habitation” module to provide a complete anthill for your ants.

Just like the Quadricity Ant Farm, this module is eco-designed to last longer than any other. In addition to high-quality materials machined according to best practices, we have designed as many parts as possible to be easily disassembled and cleaned.
