Description

A magnificent wall-mounted ant farm for observing ants digging their nest in an original and aesthetically pleasing way.

Prepare a hunting area connected by a 14mm pipe, place it on a wall shelf below the hollow frame or in the location of your choice, and admire.

This unique and aesthetically pleasing setup will allow a colony to thrive in conditions tailored to its needs with minimal attention from you regarding humidity, food, and temperature (depending on the species). The wall-mounted ant farm comes with a substrate specially developed in Germany for ants. Remember to keep it consistently moist in about half of the nest, depending on the species' requirements. The "M" thickness of substrate is suitable for medium to large species such as Messor and Camponotus.

Description:
These ant farms have been developed for wall mounting and are easy to install on wood and stone walls.
The frame is made of real natural wood with a white finish in a modern and timeless design.
This frame can be removed to open the farm and can be reattached using a magnetic bracket.

Installation note:
To fix the 6 "S6" wall plugs into the wall, you will need a drill with a 6mm drill bit (for wood or stone depending on the material).
Drill 40mm deep holes for the plugs and screw in the 4x30mm screws.

Note on production:
The glass is cut according to DIN 1249 standard with a tolerance of +/- 1mm. This nest is therefore recommended for large species: Messor and Camponotus in particular.

Note regarding the ant farm:
When attaching or removing the flexible tubes, observe the following points:
If the flexible tube is very difficult to place onto the connector socket, the socket should be lightly rubbed with a drop of our escape-preventing oil or powder. The flexible tube should then be pushed onto the female connector by twisting or screwing it in, without putting any load on the female connector with an up-and-down motion. The same applies when removing the flexible tube from the ant farm. Do not force it!
