Description
Natural Style Nesting Ant Farm with Digging Sand
An all-in-one concept for the good of your ants. With this module, you will be able to:
- Grow a young colony to about 300-500 individuals (large species) or 600-1000 individuals (small species),
- Connect several modules together with a bridge or pipe to continue development,
- Make beautiful observations in your hands: 360° observations,
- Guarantee the survival of your ants against dehydration,
- Prevent any escape,
- Prepare the move to a larger anthill or biotope in excellent conditions.
Ideal for:
Young and intermediate colonies of Messor, tropical ants (Harpegnatos, Carebara, Diacamma, Odontomachus, etc.) and European ants (Lasius, Pheidole, Camponotus, etc.). Suitable for species up to 16mm long.
Technical characteristics:
- Island Concept: place the module in a large container with water for several weeks.
- Moisture is absorbed by capillary action, the sand becomes moist and does not collapse.
- All in one: the top is a hunting area.
- Escapes are prevented by the cover with anti-mite grid.

Usage tips :
- Choose a well-sealed plastic container or aquarium filled with about 3cm of water.
- Be creative if you wish and create a beautiful aqua-terrarium 🙂
- Replace the water regularly.
- Apply additional anti-escape sealant to the top of the cylinder walls on the inside if you want ultimate protection when opening the lid (our recommendation: Fluon).
- Place your nest in a warm place or use a heat lamp for optimal conditions (usually 27°C).
- Connect several modules together if you want to take advantage of this concept on a larger scale and develop your colony for a long time.
