This refillable and reusable breeding tube, made in France, is a professional-grade alternative to existing tubes. It allows you to raise an ant colony from the queen up to several dozen workers in improved conditions. With its very natural appearance, this tube is ideal for providing reassuring conditions similar to the first tunnels dug by the queen in nature.

The ants' living and growth conditions are superior thanks to regulated humidity and a natural, resin-free material. From the moment the worker ants emerge, the tube can be connected to a foraging area, allowing them to explore and gather food. For this purpose, it is equipped with a magnetic system compatible with the upcoming Magneto Pro 9 range. It is also backward compatible with all foraging areas and ant farms with 9mm and 16mm connection holes.

The magnetic system is the most practical and quickest to use. Powerful and reliable enough to lift a 7cm cubic hunting area and reposition itself in case of impact, it provides a perfect seal for micro-species.

 

This rearing tube is particularly suitable for small and medium-sized species, from Lasius and Pheidole to Messor and Camponotus (foundation of up to 20 to 40 workers maximum).

Manual :

• Fill the reservoir using the syringe (without the needle provided). Seal the hole tightly with the provided cap. The highly absorbent concrete will become moist within minutes and ready to be used.
• Add a little water every 15 days or so. Opening the cap creates an air intake and allows the concrete to rehydrate.
• Close the outer hole with the synthetic wadding provided if the tube is not connected to a flushing area.
• Once a population of around twenty worker ants has been established, they can be moved to an ant farm. The tube can be cleaned by filling it with water and baking soda, and is reusable.
