Description

Created by Fourmiculture and our team, this innovatively designed Tube Holder is both simple and wonderfully effective for successfully founding small colonies in glass tubes without the risk of breakage. It is used from the queen alone to hold and present the tube, keeping the cotton cap until the first workers, and then facilitates feeding and management of the colony during its first months of life thanks to a storage area. Very practical magnetic feeding.

Operation of the Breeding Tube Holder:

Our Foundation Tube Holder has a clever system for holding the breeding tube in place. This system is made possible by the thermoforming of the rear part which maintains tension against the tube and embeds it by 2mm in a housing provided for this purpose. A simple “click” allows you to insert the tube and remove it at will, without any wearing parts or risk of breakage.

With a clean and neat design, our Foundation Tube Holder is a fine and elegant creation allowing ants to look for their food in the dedicated part and saves you from placing the food inside the tube. Now equipped with the Magneto Pro 9 standard, it is compatible with Fourmiculture magnetic waterers to supply the colony with nectar or fresh water from outside the hunting area, in complete safety.

Which colony to raise in a tube with Tube Holder?

All species up to 16mm long are compatible and can grow in the breeding tube (test tube filled with a third of water held in cotton), from the queen alone up to a few dozen or hundreds of workers. Humidity autonomy will be several months before having to move the colony into a new tube, or an artificial anthill.

Integrated feeding area:

The presence of a feeding area accessible by a ventilated cover facilitates rearing and supports the development of the colony. Made in one piece, the cover fits together with total sealing. Food can be placed there on a cup as needed.

The vents are fine enough to hold smaller species including Pheidole.

A hand-made miniature decor, each time different, brings our artist touch and a natural-looking medium to explore. It includes plants, stones, flowers, fake grass...

A laser engraving with our brand on the side wall completes the authentication of our work.

A 9mm connection hole is also provided to connect the Tube Holders to each other by a pipe for greater development or to carry out a move (for this purpose, the tube can also be emptied directly into the new nest).

The foundation of a colony, a delicate step, is thus greatly facilitated.
