It complements the creation of humid terrariums, helps maintain high humidity and facilitates nest building.
Used by Fourmiculture professionally to improve the health and management of our breeding stock, particularly Atta cephalotes.
Our hydrophilic clay granules are a natural material with properties that are ideal for meeting the needs of your ants. This clay is perfect for maintaining high humidity levels in terrarium-style nests and foraging areas of your tropical colonies. Its hydrophilic properties allow for efficient water absorption and gradual release, creating a stable and healthy environment for your ants. The clay changes color depending on its moisture level, providing a convenient visual indicator. Ants can also use the clay granules to build their galleries and reinforce their nests, encouraging natural and enriching behaviors (to observe).
Composition: 100% natural clay granules. Granules are 3 to 5mm on average.
Usage tips :
- Gently moisten the clay beforehand and place it at the entrance of the nest to moisten the nest and help the ants build.
- Lightly sprinkle with water until completely absorbed when the clay begins to dry and lighten in color.
