Description

Tube refillable in water, reusable and Made in France in a thick and quality glass. Many improvements make it possible to raise a small colony over the long term with a better success rate than classic tubes or Chinese tubes displaying humidity management and random composition.

Anti-mite and anti-mould treatment: a treatment integrated into the reconstituted stone has a repellent effect against dust mites and limits the development of mould.

With progressive slab: present over the entire length of the tube, it diffuses humidity gradually, and stronger than compartmentalized tubes or single glass. This allows the ants to live on a natural stone support and choose the desired humidity level according to their position. Gives excellent results on most species! The space is better used for the life of the ants; they are no longer attached to the damp cotton.

For which species? The 16x160mm size is particularly suitable for young colonies, preferably of medium-sized species, but suitable for Pheidole to Camponotus. It can also be very suitable for Messor who will use all the space to live, and make the ant bread for food, benefiting from the higher humidity. However, the use of a hunting area is then essential to evacuate the waste and store the seeds outside the tube.

Instructions for use, important :

Install the queen or colony in the tube. Plug the end with a cotton ball to let the air circulate. Tighten enough so that ants do not attack it. Order our special syringe (0.3mm needle) or take a needle from a pharmacy to refill it with water and close the refill hole with Scotch Cristal brand tape (the weakest). Warning: dry the tube well before placing the tape.

Remove the Scotch approximately 2x per month to allow the water to moisten the slab.
