Description

1st Woodlouse breeding kit with LED jar, plants and substrate. A parallel breeding for lovers of ants and other creatures!

Discover the life cycle of French Woodlice in a more colorful form, born in captivity. Porcello scaber live everywhere in your gardens and are easily raised in terrariums. They can be associated with other larger animals and serve as recyclers and feeding on their waste. They recycle dead wood, dead leaves, excrement, fish flakes, vegetable peelings, etc.

These are isopods, that is to say terrestrial crustaceans and not insects. These creatures lived in the time of the dinosaurs and have evolved and shrunk to reach our days… Easily adaptable, they live easily in captivity and reproduce over time to develop their colony.

The result will be particularly decorative thanks to the plants and moss provided (depending on arrivals and creative inspiration), the different layers of substrate and the LED lighting integrated into the glass jar. You will thus be able to create a small cabinet of curiosities and follow the very simple breeding of Woodlice.

Breeding can possibly be associated with ants in terrariums. However, we offer this colony of Woodlice rather with the aim of discovering their breeding apart, for educational purposes or for lovers of original insects!
