A premium nest: Made in Germany and entirely of glass, an excellent alternative to the ant farms commonly found on the French and Spanish markets. Completely made of frosted glass. The kit includes everything you need: a breeding guide, carefully raised ants (queen + eggs + workers), high-quality food, and accessories.

For poorly heated apartments, we recommend adding an optional ceramic bulb for optimal temperature throughout the year (27°C during the day) and putting the ants into hibernation for 2-3 months at 8-17°C in winter.

Fascinating observations in the moss substrate: Observations are easy, and the colony grows throughout the season with the birth of new workers. The substrate thickness is adapted to the species to prevent them from hiding inside. Observations are preserved; the entire life of the colony, usually invisible underground, unfolds before you, vertically. Unlike the Combi nest, the substrate is a single, easy-to-install foam panel.

Integrated ants: a colony of ants raised by us, complete with a queen, eggs, and a healthy population. For this premium kit, we select only the largest colonies. The ants are transported in a specially designed tube, ready to be connected to the ant farm for relocation. We guarantee safe transport and delivery thanks to our Antsafe packaging.

We are recognized by the veterinary services and select the most beautiful colonies from our breeding (sometimes over a year old). All that remains is to take care of it according to the Guide du Parfait Antculteur provided!

Easy maintenance: The colony requires little care as the Messor bees feed on the provided seeds, which they store in the dry part of the nest, and access their grain store as needed! However, be careful: humidity control is important; avoid pouring too much water on the side where the seeds are stored. A ventilated glass lid is provided, and a frame is also available for applying an escape-proof product underneath, ensuring easy access and good ventilation (very important).

Regarding humidity, simply keep the substrate moist by applying the dropper directly to the substrate (never allow it to dry out) over approximately half of the nest. We also recommend placing a lamp (bulb not included) near the nest, monitored by a thermometer, to provide an ideal temperature for larval development (27°C during the day). In winter, the colony must remain in a cool environment (8-17°C) for 2 to 3 months to ensure its winter dormancy. For information on species that are active in winter, please contact us.
