Our breeding tube is the best way to start breeding because ants need a small space to start their colony. This tube made in France does not contain pollutants and uses an organic foam (without PVA) covered with a non-toxic mineral slab in order to diffuse the humidity of the water reserve. It recreates healthy living conditions by improving the comfort of ants and their development. Its autonomy in water is several months, it avoids oversights and the accidental loss of the colony. After months of autonomy in water, it is possible to refill it with our special syringe, sold separately, by closing the micro-hole with crystal tape (official brand, essential for its quality and ensuring watertightness).
Important: before first use, fill the water reserve using the syringe provided, dry the tube, and close the hole with branded crystal tape.

The hunting area connected to the tube allows the ants to go out to explore and look for their food. It is ventilated by a stainless steel grid to avoid excess humidity and allows the ants to feel like outside. The machined, recessed acrylic cover prevents any untimely escape from ants. An anti-mold and anti-mite mineral soil serves as a natural support. A seal is used to embed the rearing tube so that the ants circulate in complete safety. If handling is made difficult by the presence of workers, an anti-escape product (mineral oil) is supplied and applied to the top of the walls for its natural repellent effect.

It is placed under the tube, monitored by a thermometer to heat the colony and improve its development. The ideal is 27°C during the day and 18-24°C at night. Warning: if used improperly, it can reach an excessive temperature for your ants. To avoid exceeding 30°C, use the supplied thermometer and aluminum foil to insulate if necessary or move the tube slightly away. In winter, place the colony between 8 and 15°C for 2 months for its winter rest.
