Ideal for observing an anthill over the long term, this Pack contains the new Folia ormia anthill: an optimized and high-quality designed to support the development of your Camponotus. Its design is inspired by an elm leaf and it incorporates the qualities that we love at Fourmiculture, in particular the use of mineral soil and an efficient humidification with wet zone/dry zone.

You will also find a connecting branch as well as a practical and ultra-flat collection area to deposit the food to your colony and an anti-escape oil to apply under the transparent frame.

The colony is easy to raise and feeds about 3x per week on the powdered honeydew provided, to be diluted in milk or water. She appreciates the sweet nectars that she swallows in large quantities and shares with the other workers, also to feed the larvae before they weave their cocoon. Development continues throughout the year in this colorful and large species.

Ecology, ethics and respect for life

This range made in France in PLA, materials of renewable and non-petroleum vegetable origin contains a non-invasive colony, without danger for biodiversity (we recall however the prohibition to release it in nature) and the usual health sheets at Fourmiculture. The colony of Asian origin was acquired from a French supplier.
