Refillable tube – Compartmented 18x180mm, reusable and Made in France was developed for Fourmiculture in thick, quality glass. Numerous improvements make it possible to raise a small or medium colony foraging over the long term with a better success rate than conventional tubes.

Huge advantage over the plaster tube made in China: autonomy of several weeks! And rechargeable afterwards. No risk of losing the colony by forgetting.

Soft humidity: Lower humidity, easy to increase. It is suitable for large species (Messor, Camponotus, etc.).

Refillable tube – Compartmentalized to provide ants with a sense of security, improve the development and use of space (brood, food, waste, etc.). The washers are not totally resistant to Messors and the tube does not have an integrated steel grid (over-shielding) but will be suitable for developing a young colony that is not very aggressive up to several dozen workers. Washers are easy to replace.

The recurring problems with the tubes we tested are: static electricity, a water refill system but too little autonomy and dried up dead ants, too fragile foams or a fragile resin plaster slab, moldy cotton , poorly managed humidity, tubes too small for Messor, thin tube.

Attention : Due to the compartments, the air circulation is weaker. It is advisable to use the tube with the open end, without cotton, facing a harvesting area for perfect breeding conditions. Otherwise, use loosely packed cotton or a grid.

Manual :

Install the queen or the colony in the tube with water reserve. Connect the tube to a hunting area and leave the end open for good ventilation. To refill with water, order our special syringe or take 0.3mm needles. Close the entry hole with Scotch Cristal tape. Attention: dry the glass well to fix the adhesive, and use only the Scotch crystal reference for its long-term quality. Important: lift the tape or fill the tank every 15 days to create an air intake allowing the slab to absorb the water.
