This ant incubator is a new tool to manage your breeding in a semi-professional way and protect your precious ants from a temperature error and its consequences.
It is equipped with a temperature regulator with digital display and 2 storage locations.
The temperature can be set and changed as desired. The device can both cool (up to about 18-25°C below the ambient temperature) and heat (up to about 60°C). The adjustable temperature range is about 5°C-60°C. It can therefore also be used for the wintering of native ants. As an option, the ant incubator can be operated not only on the mains but also during transport via a cigarette lighter in the car (12 V DC).

Advantages:
You are often faced with the question of how to store ants for hibernation without complications and at the right temperature.
The refrigerator is anyway too full, on the balcony it can be too cold for the animals and in the cellar it is also cramped, or you do not have enough control. Here is the solution: Either you let the animals overwinter in the incubator with our nesting tube holders in test tubes, in this case even up to 100 colonies at the same time, or with the entire Formicarium ANTCUBE .
For example, our ANTCUBE Combi, fits completely inside. But a starter kit with a 20x20x10 hunting area and 2 20x20 nests would also have enough room. Storage and transport with the car, for example when swarming, moving or transporting particularly sensitive leafcutter ants, are also feasible.
The practical test tube holders (nesting tubes) are available in three different sizes. Here is our recommendation:

Space in the incubator is suitable for:
Up to 24x colonies in transparent collection box 115x115x55.
For ants in foundation tubes, we recommend nest tube holders for storage.
Fit inside:
– nest tube rack for 16mm = 12 pieces or 120 tubes of 16mm diameter.
– Rack for 18mm tubes = 12 pieces or 120 tubes of 18mm diameter
– Rack for 25 mm tubes = 9 pieces or 54 tubes of 25 mm diameter.

- Do not place in direct sunlight or near a heat source, as fluctuations in external temperature will affect internal temperature.
– Install in a dry place with as constant a temperature as possible.
– The fans must be able to rotate freely
