Description

Magnificent wall anthill to watch the ants dig their nest in an original and aesthetic way.

Provide a hunting area connected by a 14mm pipe, put it on a wall shelf below the digging frame or in the place of your choice, and admire.

The particularly original and aesthetic set will allow a colony to develop in conditions adapted to its needs with a minimum of attention on your part concerning humidity, food and temperature (depending on species). The wall anthill is supplied with a substrate specially developed in Germany for ants. Remember to keep it always moist on about half of the nest according to the needs of the species. The “M” substrate thickness is suitable for medium to large sized species such as Messor and Camponotus.

Glass, wood, PMMA. Included: Digfix foam substrate guaranteed not to collapse and developed especially for ants. Made in Germany.

Description:
These anthills have been developed for wall mounting and are easy to mount on wooden and stone walls.
The frame is made of real natural wood, with a white finish in a modern and timeless design.
This frame can be removed to open the truss and can be reattached to the truss via a magnetic mount.

Installation note:
To fix the 6 “S6” dowels in the wall, you need a drill with a 6mm bit (for wood or stone depending on the material).
Drill 40mm deep holes for the dowels and screw in the 4×30mm screws.

Note on production
The glass is cut according to DIN 1249 with a tolerance of +/- 1mm. This nest is therefore recommended for large species: Messor and Camponotus in particular.

Anthill note
When attaching or removing the flexible tubes, the following points should be observed:
If the flexible tube is very difficult to place on the socket of the connector, the socket should be lightly rubbed with a drop of our oil or our anti-escape powder. The flexible tube must then be pushed onto the female connector by turning or screwing it, without loading the female connector by up and down movements. The same goes for removing the flexible tube from the anthill. Do not remove it by force!
